Betty's Ground Beef and Noodles

1 12 oz. pkg egg noodles -- cooked with salt
1 1/2 lb. ground beef
3/4 cup celery -- diced small
1 small onion -- diced
1/2 cup green pepper -- diced (1/2 to 1)
1 large can tomatoes-- cut up
1 8 oz. can tomato sauce
2 cups sharp cheese -- grated (2 to 3)
1 tsp. chili powder
to taste   salt & pepper

Instructions

Cook noodles according to package directions. Don't over cook noodles. Brown ground beef; add diced onion, celery and green pepper, simmering a few minutes more. Stir about 1 cup of cheese, chili powder and salt & pepper to taste into ground beef mixture and mix thoroughly. Put in casserole dish. Bake at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes. Add remaining cheese on top during the last 10 or 15 minutes cooking.
