 Now
that all of the fires in Montana and Wyoming have finally subsided,
it is terrible that they left behind so much damage to the wilderness
and people's lives who resided in the areas affected. I have come across
a photograph taken in the Bitterroot National Forest in Montana on August
6, 2000. The photographer, John McColgan, is a fire behavior analyst
from Fairbanks, Alaska. He took the picture with a digital camera. Because
he was working at the time he took the picture, he cannot profit from
it; however, the picture is a once-in-a-lifetime shot and should be
shared, especially with those who were close to this disaster. Click

Luther Cook has passed away top

I am sorry to report
that my natural grandfather, Luther Cook, has passed away today in Billings,
MT after battling several illnesses and health problems over these last
several months. He was loved by many and will be missed. He passed away
quietly and without suffering early this morning. He was once married
to the now Helen Sullivan, and is the natural father of Jere Duncan.
He was divorced when Jere was very young and was not involved in the
family until 7 or 8 years ago, but his reentry into the family was a
welcome one, as he was a very polite and caring man. Read his obituary

Duncan's all survived San Francisco reunion top

the immediate family of the Duncan's gathered together in San
Francisco for a mini-reunion over the weekend of October 6-9th. It was
an awesome time for everybody!! It was a jam packed weekend and we celebrated
Crystal's birthday while we were there. (Not much celebration as we
ate Taco's at a cheap restaurant next to the hotel we were staying in.

no new news today. Just sitting here waiting for some new and breaking
news, but no such luck. Maybe later there will be some. Thank you. Update:
Even as of yet, 10/21, there is not much new news. Wow. Go figure.

Here is the big news for the Duncan Family!! top

Everyone has been waiting for a long time, but it looks like Doug
& Crystal Duncan are officially a Mommy & Daddy! Wow!!
Are we the only one this has happened to? I'm guessing probably not,
but it feels quite weird! We found out on the night of 09/01/00 that
we were going to have a child and we are both still in shock. We have
been trying for over a year and were getting a little worried. The baby
is expected to arrive around May 5th, 2001. We are not going to find
out the sex of the baby until it is born, so it will be a surprise to
us all. We are still thinking about names. You can e-mail
Crystal if you have any good ideas, or just for fun. *Sorry,
Janet, but we are not naming the baby Bubba.
I will keep updates on the website so please check back!
