Refrigerator Zucchini Pickles

Comments: This is from my neighbor and makes very good pickles. I brought them to the first reunion at Phyl's and Sharmon loved them.

3 1/2"   zucchinis
2 medium onions
1   red pepper -- chunked
1   green pepper -- chunked
2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. alum
1 1/4 cups vinegar
1/2 tsp. tumeric
1/8 tsp. cinnamon
1 1/2 tsp. mustard seed
1/4 tsp. celery seed

Instructions

Mix salt and alum and vegetables. Cover and toss. Let stand 4 hours. Rinse with cold water. Boil the remaining ingredients for 10 minutes. Add vegetables and bring to boil again. Cool, cover and refrigerate overnight. Keeps indefinately
