Comments: This is a recipe from a Taste of Home Ground Beef Cookbook. I cut the amount of spices and made it with & without the meat. It is good either way.

3 lbs ground beef 1 large onion,chopped 1/2 cup red pepper,chopped 2 16 oz cans pork & beans,drained 1 15 oz can chili beans,undrained 1 15 oz can pinto beans, rinsed & drained 1 cup ketchup 1/2 cup brown sugar 3 to 4 tbsps chili powder 1 tbsp vinegar 1 tsp each salt, ground cumin, cayenne pepper 1/2 tsp hot pepper sauce 1/8 tsp garlic powder 1/8 tsp pepper Instructions
In an ovenproof dutch oven,cook beef,onion & red pepper over medium heat until meat is no longer pink;drain. Add the rest of the ingredients;mix well. Cover & bake at 350 for 1 1/2 hours. stir once. This recipe can also be cooked in a slow coker on low for 4 to 5 hours. It's really good & is a good dish for a potluck or one of our family holiday dinners.
