After the family reunion, Doug, Crystal, and Ashley
will be traveling through Yellowstone park for a couple days. This should
be pretty fun since I have not been through there since I was a kid.
It has been many years for Crystal, and of course Ashley has never been
there. I'm sure she will enjoy it and absorb all the cool colors and
sights. I will post a photo album after we return.

This was a very quick trip for Ashley, Trisha (my
sister) and myself. We drove up to see family, as we were not sure if
I could travel later in the summer because of my current pregnancy.
Trisha also had some days off work, so up we all went. While there we
saw Doug's sister's, Sue and Angi. We also visited Mom (Jere), Aunt
Sharmon, Phyllis, cousin Rachel, and Kerrie. The best memory of this
trip was seeing Doug's grandmother Helen. She was very sick. Ashley
I think gave her some great memories for her last few days. She died
on Memorial day. She will be missed by all as she was a great woman.
We stayed with Doug's best friend Chello since he had plenty of room.
Ashley loved Uncle Chello house because he has 3 cats, and she constantly
loved on them. She wants a cat but Doug's allergies will not handle
one very well. Friday night we all went to Grandma's house for dinner
and to visit with relatives. We had a great time, and then it was time
for us to leave on come back home.

This was just before Ashley turned 2! Well My Dad
and Stepmom bravely took Ashley and I down for a visit to see the family.
We drove rather than fly, and that was rough, as Ashley and Nana did
not want to sit for long. We fixed their wagon and plugged in the TV
video player and they just sat there watching movies most of the way.
While in Phoenix we visited Ashley's great Grandma.
She lives in a nursing home with 6 other ladies and boy, did all the
grandma's enjoy Ashley. One lady gave Ashley her baby doll she grew
up with. I have put that doll in safe keeping as it will have special
memory for Ash as she gets bigger. Because I was born in Phoenix, we
have lots of family there. We were on the go every day seeing family
and enjoying the warm weather. Not always warm weather as we drove to
Flagstaff to see my Aunt Kathy and Uncle Bobbie, and it actually even
snowed on us!! They fixed us lunch; home made white sauce with big shrimp.
I of course did not eat the shrimp (yukkk), but everything else was
great. My cousin Michelle was also there visiting, and we saw her again
in Phoenix.
While back down in the warm weather,
we stayed with my other cousins; Barb and Ramón, Heather and
Genese, and my aunts Joannie and Jeanne. We had such a great time, but
we needed to push on. From Phoenix we drove down to Tucson and saw a
longtime family friend Elaine. After visiting we took off again to start
the long drive back home. All in all we had a great time and enjoyed
seeing the family, but we had to get back to Ashley's big 2nd birthday
party.
